This pedal set has the same rubber compound as Tesla’s factory pedals and requires some finger muscle to get it in place. They don’t go anywhere once they’re installed. No drilling or welding is required.
Some customers have reported that placing the pedals in sunlight (rubber side facing the sun) for an hour before installation loosens the rubber and makes the installation more flexible.
Remove the cover on the current rubber brake pedal (no cover on the accelerator pedal). Reach behind the pedal and bend the rubber along the edges to reach it.
To install the replacement brake cover, start at the bottom and work your way up. Then wrap the rubber around the edge of the pedal until it is completely secure. You can use your phone’s camera to make sure everything is in order.
Use the same method for the accelerator pedal. The little finger hole on the right side of the back of the pedal helps you to mount it.
